Standard Backer Rod is an extruded closed cell, round polyethylene foam material with skin-like texture. Compatible with with butyl, polysulfide, acrylic, polyurethane, silicone and most cold sealants. Helps prevent clogging of expansion joint with mortar and is the accepted material for brick and block expansion joint fillers.
